Ah lads - don’t send me on a reference form for hiring a past student specifically asking about their ability to focus on details and then include this question!

Normally when I’m anywhere I’m on the lookout for #archaeology stone bothering opportunities (and did have some Norman/medieval oops) with a cool castle and the oldest working lighthouse in Europe, but this trip I had some fab fossil stone bothering fun too. Fab, fab, fab!

Last of my summer digs now dugged 😀. Sites from Iron Age (with Romano British finds). Medieval (with some nice pottery) and late 19th century (masonry and plasterwork). All 3 great learning, craic and lovely people. Roll on ‘26 season 😎

#MosaicMonday I love this picture of a modern interpretive mosaic in the Imperial Fora Museum in Rome. Love that husband’s shirt is nearly another mosaic!

Just love it when chemistry and archaeology /history come together for me. I can feel an assignment based on the chemistry of the dyes Irish monks used being designed. Inspiration courtesy of Words on the wave exhibition in National Museum of Ireland www.museum.ie/en-IE/Museum...
