We thank @naturecanada.bsky.social for an amazing two-day advocacy training session with other NB NGOs. Their expertise was valued and led us to meet with MLAs from the three NB parties. Nature at the LEG was a success, and we thank Gosling Foundation for funding to make this event possible!

Dead leaves left in the spring provide a form of insulation for nesting animals, such as the Yellow-Banded Bumblebee, who nest underground in the winter.
This bumblebee was listed in 2015 as Special Concern by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.

#WildlifeWednesday Bats sleep in the daytime and hunt at night. What do you think happens when we introduce light into their life?
Thanks to #DarkSkyPreserves in our province, bats can find the insects they need to eat and not be disoriented by the “suns” we put out at night.💡🦇
