We thank @naturecanada.bsky.social for an amazing two-day advocacy training session with other NB NGOs. Their expertise was valued and led us to meet with MLAs from the three NB parties. Nature at the LEG was a success, and we thank Gosling Foundation for funding to make this event possible!

Dead leaves left in the spring provide a form of insulation for nesting animals, such as the Yellow-Banded Bumblebee, who nest underground in the winter.
This bumblebee was listed in 2015 as Special Concern by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.

Last week, Parks Canada announced new funding for conservation work in the Chignecto Isthmus. Nature NB is proud to be partnering on a successful proposal from Birds Canada to work with a network of partners to improve ecological connectivity.
