And to come back to the start of this thread: fuck girlguiding. The absolute gall to say you stand for inclusion, and stand in solidarity with trans people, after showing exactly where your values lie. A pathetic announcement of a pathetic decision by pathetic people.

I truly believe in what scouting can give to young people, but it seems to only be able to give it to the children of white middle class families, mostly boys. A part of me still loves scouting, but I don't think I'll miss it.

But I know deep down I don't belong there. Scouting and guiding are different organisations, but this has completely validated my decision to leave an organisation that I never believed would have my back if it came to it.

I decided recently to give up scouting after having been part of the movement since I was 6 years old. 8 years as a young member and then 9 years as a leader at various groups.

Is there a specific place where one might go to get milked to death? Asking for a friend...
