Maine Native American, Wolastoqiyik/Maliseet, artist (BFA), baker, crafter, gardener, and old house owner. I enjoy making things with my hands. Loves @flannelforever.
I'm masking because of my partner is immune compromised, and I have an autoimmune disease. I get looks all the time. I don't care usually. I was in a store this week and a woman followed me around, coughing behind me loudly. I often confront them, but wasn't up for it this time.

The plate is a hand painted Nippon china plate. It is over 100 years old. It belonged to my great aunt Bernice.

I worked in a local bakery for years. I made scones every day I worked. Friday was chocolate scone day.

I had popcorn for a snack Monday evening, forgetting that I had a teeth cleaning the next morning. My hygienist was thrilled that she would have something to look forward to...then disappointed that I had done a great job flossing.

I got her through it. Then, I think she decided to get me through it. She got me through some dark days. Take things at your own pace. I couldn't take off my wedding ring for two years. Give yourself some time.

Glad you're taking care of yourself. I found routine helped. Also I had a dog to care for...no choice. I had to get up early in the morning and take her out for a walk, and feed her. She got depressed and sick when my husband died...almost lost her.

Sending love. I'm so sorry. It's not an easy thing. Do what is best for you. You'll find that there will be people you didn't expect to be there for you that step in to help. There will also be those that you expected would be there for you, and they aren't. Take it one day at a time.

Sending love and hugs. It's so hard to see your spouse suffering. Remember to take care of yourself. Are you eating and getting enough sleep?

Yes. The spaces are very narrow and not a lot of space to maneuver.
