I hope you'll listen to Rachel as she shares her son’s story.

Nate is a disabled adult who relies on Medicaid. Medicaid makes Nate's life & dreams possible—it means freedom. Cuts to Medicaid eliminate those freedoms.

Help share Nate's story & join me in saying: NO CUTS TO MEDICAID.

OK back to news. Because more disinformation is swirling around about 150-year-olds collecting social security benefits today, let's revisit this from @davidgilbert.bsky.social:

Elon Musk claims to have found rampant fraud in the Social Security Administration. There’s a much simpler explanation.

one thing i keep thinking about is how there is simply no way to design a constitutional system that can resist authoritarian incursion if participants in that system do not actually care that much

Stop Project 2025 Comic
Trump's Project 2025 is a detailed plan to shut you up, and shut you out. Don’t let it do either. Read on, then vote.

Why aren’t we looking into corporate welfare? In the United States, it costs taxpayers billions each year, with estimates ranging from $92 billion to $100 billion annually. Meanwhile, USAID costs only $40 billion. Hmmm… doesn’t add up.

The Trump administration has placed two top security chiefs at the U.S. Agency for International Development on leave after they resisted turning over classified material in restricted areas to Elon Musk’s staffers. America, please stand with us—we are fighting to defend this country!

USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.

You can’t call yourself “America First” if you cut off federal grants in the U.S. while continuing to fund Israel.

This is ridiculous. Wondering if the system of checks and balances will finally come into play 🧐
The blast radius of Trump’s terrible, unconstitutional, and illegal decision to halt virtually all federal grants and loans is virtually limitless.

And its impacts will be felt over and over and over again by families and communities across the country.

The scope of Trump's illegal move to freeze federal funding is unprecedented and could have devastating consequences across the country for real people.

It is a massive overreach and he must reverse course immediately and follow the requirements of the law.
