Young men and fire.

I also really liked, let us now praise famous men, salvation on sand mountain, the Talmud and the internet, and pretty much anything by Erik Larson.

I think they are a quality MWC team--well coached, disciplined, hardnosed. I was impressed as well.

I think Tech has the potential to be USC ala 2022. High-caliber talent. Suspect coaching. Susceptible to breaking mentally.
September 16, 2025 at 5:19 PM
But if we can bend and not break with those chunks, I expect the D to be stout in the redzone where the field compresses and Tech's offense will be more limited. I don't think they will pose much a rushing threat, so if we can keep chunk plays to between the 20's we should be in a good position.
September 16, 2025 at 2:46 PM
But--I think we should expect some struggles. Hopefully, we finish drives better than against Wyoming.

On D, I am concerned about DBs that have shown a lack of discipline and have been prone to lose receivers. Tech's WRs are very good and deep. We'll give up some chunk yards for sure.

I feel you regarding QB health. I don't think we have seen a lot of the playbook yet, so I expect a number of new wrinkles (esp RPO) this week against a better opponent. Beck has been consistently good at creatively identifying weaknesses on the D and strengths on O. It should be a good game.
September 16, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Tech brought in a massive amount of talent on both sides. While their schedule has been softer than Utah's, I expect a significantly improved defense from last year. Beck's multiple running attack will hopefully keep them off balance enough to mitigate some of that talent, but it'll be close.

The name of the person who will hurt us the most this season rhymes with rim farting.
