Incoming photo dump. Visiting mom in my tiny central Illinois home town and I had a walkabout to look at nature. Maples everywhere!

50 years ago today @lyndacarter.bsky.social donned the mantle of #WonderWoman and brought her to life for everyone. This little gay boy who sat enthralled in front of the TV every week is forever grateful for her advocacy and grace.

Tomorrow night I get to forget about the world for a bit and soak in the sounds of The War and Treaty. Third time seeing them. Cannot wait.

Easily one of my top 5 favorite beers. I've not been able to find Maredsous beers on shelves anywhere but I'm glad Hopleaf in Andersonville always has their Brune dark on draft.

On this our autumnal equinox, I salute train stop corn. I've been watching this single stalk grow next to the brown line for a few weeks. It's alone in its endeavors and the one ear of corn is wee.

25 years ago we were introduced to the breezy summer sounds of Bebel Gilberto. Tapped into the musical DNA of her family (daughter of João Gilberto and Miúcha), she's breathed new life into the bossa nova sound. Just gorgeous.

A good thing today is it's my B's birthday. He is an extremely good thing. Like, he's the best part of us. He is my partner and best friend. I love him so much.
