Please talk TO children, not AT them. If you ask a question, give them time to answer. Shut up for a second. My daughter visibly shrinks every time an adult talks over her just as she's trying to answer. She's shy and quiet but she will answer. If you keep talking over her, she'll give up trying.

For the sake of my mental health, I've been a bit absent from social media. I post when I post, which is very random and totally based on whether I can be bothered. I don't engage much but I do check in. It's about time I stop using that other site...

Today, my little girl wore her Star Wars pajamas to preschool because toddler.

Just finished my first roll of film in the "junk" Yashikaflex TLR that I refurbished. Fingers crossed it actually works. There's no reason why it shouldn't but there's only one way to find out!

It will also be interesting to see if I took any accidental double exposures. Fun times!

My new toy. I picked it up for 1,200 yen (around $10) at a local camera store. The staff said it was junk but after playing with it a bit, I was confident I could fix it.

Did I just spend more money on tools to repair a camera than the camera itself? Why yes, yes I did.

Somebody I know co-hosts a podcast about mental health. That same somebody dumped me as a friend because I wasn't "there for them enough" when, in fact, I was dealing with my own mental health issues.

This happened a couple of years ago and I'm still processing it. Ironic, don't you think?

Does anyone here know the Japanese anime Anpanman? My wife and her friends swear Baikinman is saying "ha hi hu he ho" when he comes on the scene but that's not what I hear at all. I swear they've all been brainwashed! lol

What do you think he's saying?
