Good work watching that game everyone. Rest up. We’ve hopefully got 7 more just like it

I’m showing my 8 year Parks and Rec. Just saw the one where Jen Barkley convinces Ben to run for Congress.

Ben: Congress? I’m not qualified.

Jen: The House of Representatives, Ben. You might be overqualified.

Just saw a headline that said “Where In The World is [person I’ve never heard of]” and I thought oh, did they get deported too?

Fuck yes
Elon, I hate to break it to you but you aren’t my boss. I answer to the people of Minnesota.

But since you bring it up, I spent last week fighting to stop tax breaks for billionaires like you, paid for by defunding health care for moms and babies

The dude who waved the Palestinian/Sudan flag is banned for life from all NFL stadiums the day after the Super Bowl. But it took 3 months to ban the dude who grabbed Mookie’s arm.

It’s a shame his pro poker player friend never figured out how to open his own betting account.
Oh, yeah, it was just his friend whose account he shared. Ya know how that goes, you bet $700,000 on baseball games because your buddy is a MLB ump but you guys never discuss it, totally normal stuff

Don’t know if I should even try this immaculate grid. Can’t get Arson Judge out of my head.

Instead of implementing automatic strikes, MLB should mandate that tv broadcasts can’t have the strike box. Players and involved fans would still bicker about balls/strikes, but I guarantee at least 80% of bitching is from fans who can’t tell the difference and just saw the pitch outside the box

I hope that’s a direct quote, and Cashman really told Jed “a super insane mega-deal.”
The logic just flows right out of him

Just found this on my phone and yep, it’s still true. So if any uppity family members say to you today, “aren’t you supposed to be a writer,” just show them this.

My immaculate grid started so good today. 0.5% on the first square. Then completely whiffed on the next two. Guess I don’t know first round picks.

For the record, canceling Prime feels about 1000x more liberating than deleting twitter. And deleting twitter feels good.
You feel liberated after leaving Twitter? Perfect. Now, do Amazon. It’s only feeding the beast while hurting small biz under the illusion of saving tons of money on shit you don’t need.

I was watching CBS News at maybe around 1am central time and Norah O’Donnell said something along the lines of “well maybe the media shouldn’t have been talking about grocery prices so much.”

Anyway, do not expect anyone with an FCC license to learn from this.

Made the mistake of logging into X this morning and was greeted by 311 messages of hate and denial, all posted in the last 24 hours.

A good reminder that this list is already up to 2,800 and it's time for another round of invites to colleagues to join us here. I try to make about a hundred a week!
I'm a climate scientist who studies how it affects the people, places and things we love, and how our choices today will determine our future.

I curate a list + feed of nearly 2,000 scientists who study climate, and I have some great starter packs too. Check them out!
