I set up a wildlife camera to keep an eye on my hummingbird feeder, and it’s such a great time-sink.

I don’t know if black bear ASMR was a thing before, but it sure if now. Listening to my bruin visitor crunch peanuts one at a time like they’re potato chips is remarkably soothing.

I have, of course, named him Quoth.

The raven — or ravens, there’s a mated pair roosting in the back yard — have already come back a number of times today. This one gives you a good estimate of his size - “log” he’s standing on is about five inches high. Birds are so cool. 🪶

Got my first raven on the feeders today. He wasn’t the biggest I’ve seen around here, only cat-sized, but that’s still a big bird! 🪶
