It is sad how gullible so many media actors are. Trump creates a problem by initiating a trade war, calls the trade war (partially) off, and by the numbers has us in a worse place than we started out. This is called a win.

There are plenty of things from the previous version of US democracy that need to be set aside. Due process, freedom from unreasonable searches and other similar protections most definitely deserve to be maintained.

It's not hard to understand why a guy with Trump's history would view due process simply as the way guilty people get away with crimes.

obviously Bukele has given his spin, but if a single senator can spring Kilmar for margaritas, then it has become exceptionally awkward for the President and his entire executive branch to insist there's nothing they can do to get him back to the US.
