It may just be a government pub but very excited to finally have my first book in hand!

(Albeit a year after I left the job)

These lyrics hit hard 9 years after Sturgill wrote them

All 2 busy looking down at our phone/Our ego’s begging for food like a dog from our feed/Refreshing obsessively until our eyes start to bleed/They serve up distractions and we eat them with fries/Until the bombs fall out of our fucking skies

I'm left handed and even I hate watching lefty QBs. It just looks weird.

Sturgill played a full 3 hours 45 minutes of nonstop music for his final show of the year at Red Rocks last night. Wowza we got our money's worth

Approved by Congress. Also known as a federal law.
President Trump signed an order authorizing the Department of Defense and the secretary of defense to be called the Department of War and the secretary of war. It is unclear how the change will be formalized given that the earlier names were approved by Congress. www.nytimes.com/article/trum...

Yep. This headline is just flat out incorrect.
The Defense Department was never the War Department. The Dept of the Army was the War Dept. The Navy Dept was not part of it.
President Trump will sign an executive order on Friday renaming the Department of Defense the Department of War, the name the agency held until shortly after World War II, the White House said.

Another failure of the media to stand up to the moment.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills, why is every single outlet characterizing it this way?

Happy for Taylor and Travis and all, but what is she going to write about in her songs now?!

Squeezed in a 13er this morning before the storms.

Never a bad weekend in Colorado.

I love this scene from the new KOTH. Hank finds out Samoas are now called Carmel Delites. “It’s more respectful to people from Samoa,” one scout explains.
“That’s a good change,” Hank says, smiling. “Yeah,” the little girl says. “It’s nice to be nice.”

I don't understand the commotion around the Cracker Barrel logo. It just looks like they modernized it

What a terrible, terrible "both sides" headline.
A rapidly evolving clash over redistricting is playing out on Thursday in Texas and California, the country’s two most populous states, as lawmakers considered competing partisan proposals to aggressively redraw the political maps for their U.S. House districts.
Texas Senate Advances Redistricting as California Legislature Joins Race
Lawmakers in the nation’s two most populous states were voting Thursday on competing proposals as the battle over U.S. House maps intensified.

The Beatles are back. The fourth volume of the band’s “Anthology Collection” of recordings (including 13 new demos) is arriving, along with a capstone episode to the 1995 eight-part documentary and a 25th-anniversary edition of “The Beatles Anthology” book.
Unreleased Beatles Demos and Footage to Be Shared This Fall
This episode goes behind the scenes of the 1995 documentary; new mixes of “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” are coming out; and an updated book is due.

What a tragedy that we didn't keep this girl around.
#OTD in 1958, USS Enterprise (CV-6) made her final voyage as she moved from the Brooklyn Navy Yard to the scrapper in New Jersey. FADM William Halsey led an effort to preserve the Big E as a museum but the campaign was unable to raise enough funds to save the carrier.

Yes please.
How we don’t have Grant and Sherman statues in every state is beyond me.
Montgomery Meigs created Arlington cemetery sanctifying traitors land with heroes bones. Let’s show him some love
I want a presidential candidate who promises to construct Union memorials and statues all over the country.

And yeah, North and South. Blanket Virginia with statues of Thomas, who actually chose the right side.

Hell, put one of Sherman in the middle of Peachtree Park.
