Does she have any sourcing in this book? Haven't seen any footnotes and you already mentioned there aren't chapters.

That’s that “warrior ethos” on display, Pete scared shitless of the scary overseers.

Maybe. But the obvious silver lining here is that a federal Inspector General called Hegseth out for it. In my view, that’s something to appreciate and have some optimism about.

I have ZERO sympathy for Admiral Bradley, he isn't some hapless seaman. He knew the rules. He knew it was wrong. And now his allegedly sterling career and reputation is trashed.

Turn Texas blue? Um, what now?

(Assuming they win while having significant control of the Senate and a House majority)

Do you both think a future Dem President should pack the court? That seemed verboten in the past, but it has gotten to the point where I could see a candidate distinguishing themself and gaining wide support by doing so.

Another wholly separate but intersecting issue (dark money). Trump’s dominance of the party is why people like Cassidy toe his line. Defy Trump, you get primaried and put out of office. I’m focusing on this narrowly, can Trump’s successor dominate the party like he did? I sure hope and think not!

It seems like just another power move. How dare the States pump the brakes on unfettered US AI dominance at all costs. His solution, as usual, is to weaponize the DOJ to sue states and take away federal money until they comply.

The Verge issued the draft: www.theverge.com/ai-artificia...

“…But state legislatures have introduced over 1.000 AI bills that threaten to undermine [his] innovation culture.” Then cites California fears about catastrophic risks and Colorado citing “algorithmic discrimination” and scary old DEI…
Here’s the Trump executive order that would ban state AI laws
Trump is launching an all-out broadside against states with strict AI regulations.

I see these as two distinct matters.

Yes, the current SCOTUS is a bunch of nutty partisan, who put Trump above the country. That’s its own problem.

But is there a Trump replacement who can consolidate and rule the entire GOP with an iron fist to the extent that Trump has? Remains to be seen…

What is the Administration’s fear here - Is it that States will supposedly stifle innovation?
November 19, 2025 at 11:02 PM
What are you even whining about? Sounds like they’re reporting the news.
November 19, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Unless Trump steps down or dies in office, it will be open season on Trump’s replacement. Knives will be out and I think we’ll be back to where we were in 2016. I agree with Tom that Trump’s personality and appeal is oddly unique.

It would be one thing to put some weakling like Colmes back in the day, but this woman seems to be able to fight on their level.

Why is Jack Smith absolutely silent on this type of stuff? I don’t see any benefit of his not defending his work and setting any records straight.
