It’s also entirely possible that the reason Remmick is Irish is because Coogler genuinely loves Irish music and that would still be a 1,000,000% valid reason for him to be Irish because his music scenes f**king rip.

I think that's a great point. I'm just not sure it jibes with all the stuff about juju and the Irish being turned against the other Other by virtue of being assimilated first etc etc.

I’ve done 2 full playthroughs of the FFT remaster and I can already feel that I want to do a classic run next.

Ended my night by finally starting ranked matches in Fatal Fury and the only opponent I beat was someone playing Ken Masters. This is great because Ken Masters is a loathsome dime-store trash pile. I play as Andy Bogard and Ken makes a joke about he's not Terry and it's like...you're not Ryu.

Let’s be honest. We’ve all fantasized about telling someone to contemplate their failings on the tree of woe at least once.
I like The Lord of the Rings a lot but we need more bite sized swords and sorcery fantasy TV/movies. Willow is the platonic ideal of lightweight high fantasy, and Dungeons and Dragons (2023) is its spiritual successor. But overall the field seems very thin 🫤
