This is the correct take

Also, I finished the source material for Netflix's "Department Q" over the weekend. It's called "The Keeper of Lost Causes."

It's incredibly compelling.

Some of the changes they made are improvements, others aren't. Akram/Assad remains a gem.

I think about it a lot.

I can prob afford to retire at or around 50 but not if I had to pay $35,000 in health care premiums. Cigna offers insurance for foreign nationals living in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, etc.

It's rather reasonable.

That's $35,000 for just insurance. We aren't talking copays, deductibles, prescriptions, or doctors visits. $35k just to be insured.

I got that exact reply from someone last evening: "And if you don't leave the country you have no idea how much worse we have it."

I decided to unpack why this is such an awful policy, along with general issues of affordability

Also, don't deactivate. The world needs Aaron takes.

To be clear, I don't disagree that Jordan has been productive when healthy and has tread left on his tires.

But he's also not getting younger and I think I'm convinced that this team with an "in-prime DP9" striker playing higher up the field with Jordan as second striker is the way forward.

You're right. But can I say this: the signing of Raul was an indication the organization didn't think he was THE answer at the nine.

Fans are just following what the FO signaled in 2018.

I look at this team and see how many goals Moose scored and salivate over what an in prime DP 9 could do.
November 9, 2025 at 8:37 AM
If I was a bank or into bonds, I'd be salivating at the idea of 6% in perpetuity.

Sell high now on Moose!

cc: @hopeteague.com take a look and let's pick out some stuff to go see at NYU

Basically, except you're on the hook for repairs, maintenance, and home owners insurance

Here's some back of the napkin actuarial math on a fifty-year mortgage for $300,000 at 6%:

Principal: $300,000
Monthly Payment: $1,579
Total Interest Paid: $647,520
Total of All Payments: $947,520

I need to start coordinating my social and travel calendar with the NYU events calendar! I'm going to be in Al Ain but this looks incredible.
