Fossil fuels are wreaking havoc on people, wildlife, and the planet.

Fueled by coal and gas, catastrophic storms and heat waves are devastating human communities and the habitats animals and plants need to survive.

Utility companies must phase out #fossilfuels, for all our sakes.
Duke Energy: Ditch Fossil Fuels Now
Fossil fuels are wreaking havoc on people, wildlife, and the planet. Electric utilities in the U.S. could lead the way to a clean energy future — but many are doubling down on climate-killing coal and...

Welcome, to the first North Atlantic right whale calf born this season! 🐣🐳

But we know from sad & painful experience that this calf & the species won't be safe without care and protection from boaters. We're hoping this season is less deadly than the last.

Saturday was Remembrance Day for Lost Species, honoring species lost to the #extinctioncrisis. Last year we lost 21 species to the extinction crisis.

Every lost species threatens to unravel ecosystems and in the process reduce the services they provide.

Why did liberal Berkeley residents overwhelmingly reject a ballot measure to tax fossil gas and fight the climate crisis? In part because everyone's favorite bagel shop told them to vote "no."

I visited Boichik Bagels to learn more. My @latimes.com column: www.latimes.com/environment/...

In liberal Berkeley, Boichik Bagels helped defeat a tax measure backed by climate change activists.

Proposed #giraffe protections are good news, but it took 7 years to get here. US officials should be racing like a cheetah to fight the global #extinction crisis, but they’re actually moving at a snail’s pace to protect imperiled wildlife. #StopExtinction

Did you know giraffes have been undergoing a "silent extinction?"

“We actually realized that there are fewer giraffes in Africa than elephants,” said @ts4biodiversity.bsky.social.

But good news - they may be added to the Endangered Species List. 🎉
