Florida's Education model seems to be "Keep them white and stupid." For future reference California has Disneyland. New Mexico's beautiful in the winter. Florida should no longer be a destination to spend vacation dollars.

At least 10 of Florida's 12 public universities are cooperating with ICE, essentially giving campus police the power to enforce federal immigration laws.

That means questioning, arresting, and even preparing charges for those suspected of immigration violations — right on campus. ⁣

Would boycotting drive down the price allowing the original owner to buy it back? Also, whose idea was to sell it to Unilever in the first place, they are the worst. People need to stop making deals with the Devil. Just like with casinos, you never really win.

"I just familiarized you with that statement," responded Hirono.

Thursdays are now dedicated to my dog, Owen, who was diagnosed with lymphoma before Xmas.

He has been with us through the deaths of 2-moms, 1-dad, 2 job losses, 1- pandemic, & as of Monday, the loss of 2 cats. Part of me feels guilty at the time and $. The part that lived these last 4yrs doesn't.

I've seen the story on MSN and several other sites.

I will hold out in claiming that this is uncategorically true, but damn if it doesn't fit his modus operandi!!

It must be hard being the richest man in the world as well as being a complete souless douchebag. Talent!

He was the first president I voted for. In 1st grade. 🧡

I was so happy when he won. I was so proud that I had voted for him. It's funny. I really thought my vote counted.

I worked for years at a place where they primarily hired the white sons of wealthy clients for all of their paid summer internships.

Typically, only from Notre Dame, which was their legacy school.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs have been a hot button political issue for years, but why? In a piece for The Big Picture, Amelia Mavis Christnot used the lens of her own Ivy League education to dig into why DEI matters and why the right is so afraid of it.
Why The Right Fears Diversity, Equity And Inclusion
There are unqualified people getting a leg up—just not the people conservatives are whining about.

Valid.

Back when I did interviews for Target, in-store, I interviewed a guy who straight out told me he was in jail for raping a woman. No remorse. A rapist being allowed work release.

I didn't hire him, and never once thought, "He can't stock shelves, but he could make a great president.

WTF?!?!

I remember seeing a description of time left with older parents. We think we have years left with them, but in all reality, we have so much less.

If you see them at Christmas or summer holidays, they may be alive for years, but you may only spend a few months or weeks with them before they die.

Full disclosure, I drank the Costco koolaid years ago.

How do people not get it?

"Costco Wholesale gets the award for the best-in-state employer for 2024. Out of 1300 companies, they came in number one in Minnesota. They've also won the award every year since 2019."

Costco,
You had me at above standard pay and benefits, and $1.50 hotdogs*, but this...THIS!😳🥹🥰

*My dogs thank you for the tubular meaty bits that stick beyond the bun.
Costco responded to shareholders requesting that it withdraw from DEI policies. The response was direct and to the point: Costco says, "Our board has considered this proposal and believes that our commitment to an enterprise rooted in respect & inclusion is appropriate & necessary."

The thing about buying an old house (1919) is that 9/10 new/old home owners will develop a hatred for all previous owners who obviously didn't know what they were doing. 😬🙄🤨

Also, said people will develop deep friendships with hardware store employees to the point Christmas cards are exchanged.

I agree 💯.

We need a major overhaul in corporate home ownership.

I remember seeing a report several years ago listing all of the Senators who had Investments in home rental groups and I knew then that there would be no meaningful changes that would help the Common Man.
I’ve been saying this for a while: the party doesn’t have a messaging problem as much as they have a listening problem.

I support Ben Wikler for DNC Chair. I’m not sure about Vice Chair yet, but David Hogg is on point with his remarks about messaging & political consultants.
