When you wear a mask, you’re practicing radical self care and community care.

You’re protecting yourself from COVID and other airborne diseases, while also committing to breaking chains of transmission.

You’re ensuring you don’t get anyone else sick.

Masking is an act of resistance.

‘We haven’t learned anything’: Readers despair over UK’s Covid response in 2025.

"Many of the protections and behaviours that helped us during the pandemic — like staying home when sick, wearing masks, and improving ventilation – have quietly disappeared, say Independent readers"

It's May and I'm seeing lots of people "sick" again and rationalizing it as a necessary part of life. Since hardly anyone is testing anymore, we have no idea what's spreading and how big a wave of anything is anymore. The "new normal" continues.

See this? Avoid Long Covid by not getting Covid. This virus does not care if you lift weights, drink green smoothies, treat your mother well. Covid does not discrimate. Take it seriously. It is not the flu.

The only way to avoid Long Covid is to not get Covid in the first place

If you’ve had Covid, the next best thing is to avoid getting it again

Repeat infections are NOT inevitable or harmless. That’s a comfortable lie told by governments who wanted us “back to normal” for the economy

Wear a mask!

This Long Covid Awareness Day, let's look at why people believe they don't know anyone with Long Covid.

We are in the middle of a mass disabling event that most people refuse to acknowledge.

When we face the truth & stop denying reality, we can save lives:
I Don't Know Anyone With Long Covid
Yes. You do. This Long Covid Awareness Day I want to talk about the reasons why many people don't realize they have Long Covid, as well as why others choose to hide their diagnosis.

As we learned about Covid & airborne spread, we had an opportunity to adapt and limit transmission

Adaptation would have made public spaces more inclusive, healthcare settings safer & saved millions of lives

Instead we’ve embraced a eugenicist “you do you” approach that could take decades to undo

I appreciate Dr Noor cutting right to the heart of the matter.

Criminalizing masks = forced infections.

Masks are a public health tool. They make spaces accessible. If you ban them, people will either need to stay home or consent to forced infection.

We should ALL be angry about this.
Healthy people should be allowed to wear a respirator so they can stay healthy.

Mask ban = enforced infections.

It’s 2025… can we start masking in hospitals this year?

Can we stop insinuating that hospital acquired covid is “inevitable” or that those who die were going to “die anyways”?

Can we call it what it is? An epic failure of infection control to protect those who put their lives in your hands:
A Plea to Maskless Healthcare Workers from Vulnerable Patients
If you see a mask - wear a mask. Better yet - wear a mask all the time and show us you understand that we're still IN a pandemic. We are depending on you to keep us safe - please don't betray that.

It’s not equality if only you can access it.

It’s not justice if it only applies to some people.

It’s not freedom in society if it is not considerate of everyone’s need for freedom. It’s anarchy and oppression.
