To be clear: Columbia is in a difficult position, but if our wealthiest and most respected institutions won’t stand up against the Trump administration’s assault on civil liberties, who will?
I’ll miss the teaching and the income that comes with it, but I can’t stand by while students are detained for exercising their right to free speech and departments are stripped of their academic freedoms.
