Yes he faces discrimination for his background & being disabled but while those were out of his control, instead of building community or keeping his Zaun roots, he went "if no one sees my vision & can keep up I'll just do it all alone". Vik always had good intentions but selfish methods ya'know
If I may, I also think many fans dont realize a lot of Vik's suffering was self inflicted. Like Jayce was ride or die for him the moment they met yet Vik refused to open up to Jayce within those 7 years. He also seemed to be alone BEFORE Jayce too. He really didn't HAVE to be lonely, he CHOSE that.
