This has always been the GOP's strategy:
1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.
2) Explode the deficit.
3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.
4) Repeat.

Well unfortunately I called this one the same day Flaccid Felon started deportation raids: For-profit prisons get rich off of immigrant deportation. More "immigrants," legal or not, mean $$$ for amoral prison operators.
Yesterday, private prison company CoreCivic announced that they will reopen a family detention center in Texas. It was previously reported a toddler detained there died due to a lack of medical care.
It will detain up to 2,400 people—including children.
