They seem to have been around for 85 years, but the cemetery was opened in 1889.

I looked into it when I was writing 25 Library Terrace but found it hard to get a definite answer.

Piershill Cemetery is private, not Council.
I thought it was the Council too, but I’m not sure that’s the case.

I was incredibly lucky that The Sewing Machine was a word of mouth success. Readers liked it and they told their friends. Seven years later I’m still doing zoom chats with quilt guilds and textile enthusiasts around the world (two in the last fortnight).
