Sounds fab - as you say kinda frustrating that it's mainly preaching to the choir but I'm sure there's lots to take away. It's mad to think menopause is only covered fleetingly in some GP training...though hopefully that's not the case anymore?

It's not easy is it? Though it's shown me how pervasive our conditioning is to keep going & 'be productive' when the body says an emphatic NO.

Covid is brutal. I still have some reminders 5 years on after having Long Covid. I had to stop and breathe deeply after an *extremely* moderate hill yesterday and it took me by surprise.

Thanks for your reflections, Toni. Yeah, I think postnatal depression was my 'crack in everything' that let the light in - despite being horrendous at the time for my sense of self. It began an unspooling which has led me into deep exploration.

Love this thread. Perhaps the political context & cultural infrastructure favours short-term approaches? I think it's possible to be collaborative, curious & to respectfully challenge & get stuff done. And yes, it all gets very brittle & disconnected when it's about ego preservation.

Indeed, Charlie, mostly we know at a deep level that humanity thrives when we collectively bring compassion, integrity, trust & mutual respect - yet markers of success are so enmeshed in power & politics that this basic yet essential stuff is overlooked.
