Stealth moves from the hound. Found her in our bed (again). Thank god her bottom isn't on my pillow.

I cultivated a community of 500+ lovely folk on FB, then Meta unceremoniously suspended it (& my personal acct) for no obv reason 3 months ago. No appeal response, no replies to emails.

If you resonate with my content, perhaps you might subscribe via my website. Thanks so much x

My 11yo piped up - she'd been chatting to her 15yo brother about how I've started going out more socially in the past few months.

It's funny, because at 47 I now feel like I'm reclaiming more of myself - while obviously still heavily embroiled in parenthood.

We rarely talk about this stuff.

This is worth a listen, particularly if you work in the health system. Dr Rani Bora chats with Gabor Mate about health, wholeness, trauma & the intrinsic link between mind, body & soul...

If you work in an org with a culture of blame, shame & hierarchical directives, remember it's symptomatic of insecurity. If someone is grounded & centred, they have no need to be aggressive, dictatorial or overtly egoic.

Wisdom whispers. Those who lead from behind don't care who gets the credit.

A little message (and analogy) if you're feeling a bit brittle with the need to control a difficult situation.

There are always micro pockets of quiet available, regardless of what's going on around you.

There are many reasons why women start their own ventures. Mine included creating a charity to fill a gap (mental health) & working on my own terms (juggling family).

Everyday irony: edging at snail's pace down a dual carriageway at rush hour with one lane coned off.... no workpeople present & an empty highways truck parked up with a big sign emblazoned on it 'Here just when you need us.'

Lives half lived

Why leave it
until the embers
and final whisperings
of our existence
to take stock
and look at
the way we are
living?

We might
be less conditioned
to over-extend
and put the relentless
hours in
at the office
for a long-anticipated
future arrival
that may not
actually transpire

Went to my local library this morning to do a bit of research for my current book project and my goodness such a life-affirming space! There was an adult being taught to read on the next table, children enjoying story time, countless people taking out books. So grateful for our libraries ❤️
