We’ve had a super busy time in Room one recently! Well done to all our performers at the class talent show! 🎤🧸🖼️🎹

We celebrated finishing our class novel today with some Marvellous.Medicine IDL fun. We had a quiz, created medicine recipes and did an experiment. We learned a new word and made a 'hypothesis'.
We've also enjoyed working on our discovery grid to extend our meta skills.

We started maths week by exploring how maths is used in jobs. We looked at ceramic tilers and weavers roles and how they use repeated pattern/colour in design. We have been learning about tesselation and how it is used in craft and design. Patience, problem solving and creativity skills required! 😁

In Room 1 we made nests for nightingales and practised our nnnnnnnnnnnnn ✈️

In room 5 we read another chapter of our class novel ... Where George added ingredients to make Granny's medicine. We explored fractions, made predictions and conducted an experiment to make an explosive concoction! 💥

In Rm 5 we have been discussing emotions. We have discussed what might make us feel a certain way, how we might react and what we can do to help feel a different way. Today we explored the forest and created faces showing different emotions using natural resources ...Can you tell what they are? 😁😬😢😡

What a lovely week we’ve had in Room 5. We’ve enjoyed exploring our new classroom and outdoor area. We’ve been developing our meta skills by focussing, adapting, using initiative, communicating, collaborating and lots more. Have a lovely weekend ❤️
