If was told 5 years ago (when I was starting my business) where this journey would get me (which is pretty much everywhere), I wouldn’t believe it.

And yes, it is for real: you can cultivate science, publish academic papers, and become an academic teacher — all without a university affiliation.

As a benchmark, 60 MS graduates is about the amount that an average full professor in neuroscience promotes throughout their whole academic career...

…while I’m doing it in one go and in my “free time,” after working hours spent on my company.
