today was the first day of fall and i saw no signs of cinnamon spice or pumpkins or apple pie and there was no chill in the air.

been reading (and loving) ada limón’s collection, Bright Dead Things, lately and thinking about that one scene in The Notebook where Noah shouts “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird!”

and although I’ve never been a fan of birds, I think it must be quite lovely to become a bird with/for someone.
