We already pay tax on diesel and petrol in the same way. This is basically a continuation of that same policy that's existed for years.

Not sure it's as sinister as that. This was always going to happen. Huge amount of tax coming from petrol and diesel so something like this was always coming.

Love to know where Showcase got their print/digital. It had one bit where it said “Oktober 30 1978” on the screen.

It’s a lovely shop. Not nearly as big as the previous premises but much more footfall. Seems to be thriving
