This is quite funny. The hard left will always have another internal enemy to fight. Ludicrous people

I find it strange that among the excuses coming from Liverpool about their poor start is losing Jota. There were a number of rumours late last season that suggested he might be sold. Specifically I saw an article suggesting he may return to Wolves. Perhaps those were just not accurate.

But is it an exciting show that will hold my attention?

Or, alternatively, leave the bag on the luggage carousel until it gets closer to him and he can pick it off?

"Commas should be used only and always to indicate where a breath occurs" is the assertion of people who are dreadful at punctuation.

Marketers (especially people who work in advertising) are experts at manipulating peoples emotions.

The BetMGM adverts, for example, have managed to make me feel something I'd never expected. Sympathy with Will Smith and a wish that he'd hit Chris Rock a few more times.

Depressingly predictable to see what appears to be briefing from producers about Ncuti Gatwa to deflect from the very obvious issues with the recent series. Cast whoever you want in the lead role, it won't make 'Space Babies' anything other than embarrassing.
November 7, 2025 at 2:39 PM
@trientertainment.bsky.social Cast anyone you want; it won't suddenly elevate 'Space Babies' to anything other than an embarrassment. The off-hand way you mention Chris Eccleston when you're more than aware of the problems of how series 1 was run and Eccleston's concerns about it. Lazy.

@scottwortley.bsky.social Have you listened to 'the rest is' podcast yet? Is it me or is Ncuti being thrown under the bus?

Do you think the Trade Centre UK ad guy talks in that voice at home?

Off to see Halloween on the big screen. First time since 2001-ish when I got to see it in an old coffin factory in Birmingham.

Joe Hill should be the new Dr Who lead writer. And Robert Shearman should write more episodes too.

And all of that just to annoy Jane Tranter.

So RTD gets to deal with that Billie Piper cliffhanger before a new showrunner and production company takes over Dr Who? That's how I read the BBC's statement.

If we sack Pereira in November that will be the third wolves manager in four years to be sacked before Christmas.

Lage, then O’Neill had a full season before being sacked the following November-ish. Now in all likelihood Pereira.

True story - the quote on the front cover doesn’t come from a review of the book but from an application made to Newcastle council for a noise abatement order!

Recently released council accounts show Birmingham had hundreds of millions it could have used instead of going bankrupt & issuing extreme cuts, say 35 accountant researchers.

They're demanding an inquiry. Read the full story, in The Dispatch.

I’ve reached the point in reading a 1980s horror paperback where my interior reading voice is Garth Marenghi and I can’t take it seriously at all

This really has pissed me off. Pre-ordered this in about April. It’s literally called Tales for a Halloween Night and now it’s unavailable anywhere from UK booksellers. Booooooooooooooooo
Wtf!

I guess it needs retitling to 'John Carpenter's Tales for NEXT Halloween Night'
