My personal artstyle leans very warm but for the tutorial I picked something more neutral! I don't typically suggest color picking because I believe it often washes out the subject thanks to screenshots and filters that are pretty common online or on Pinterest. However, color picking can serve as a way to find values in different enviornments. Here i've used different light sources to help me determine what colors i'll use. Leaning darker on your base will help while drawing situations with harsh lighting.” Next to the text are four more squares, two labeled “highlight” and two “base” to indicate the range of skin tone.
