Said in an interview that he wouldn’t support PR if it meant Farage became PM. That this was a red line for him.

It isn’t an either or. We need grants and better funding model for HE to support growth, to promote regional development and to help provide opportunities for all, and we need that at the same time as we all need students to have money to live to ensure that equality of opportunity

Those roles being hollowed out, those projects being truncated, can leave us with a situation where the very conditions that stoke division are encouraged.

Why do council elections matter? Councils have not only a big impact on how day to day people experience the state, but are at the forefront of community cohesion projects and counter-radicalisation efforts in many cases. In roles often labelled as 'DEI' by Reform, and targeted for elimination.

I suspect they would be a bit more spread out (though I’ve not found a Lib Dem voter who much likes Farage). Not including Lib Dems does make things seem more polarised, and it is always risky that such reporting is a self fulfilling prophecy. Though I accept I am biased!

I’d be kind of interested to see where Lib Dem voters go in that graph.

And with UCEA doing as it promised and cancelling the talks on workload, casualisation etc I start to wonder if anyone gives a damn about early career or precarious academics. Given the sector is in such a poor progression state that we have had to stretch what ECR is…. Yeah. Just despondent.
