Today’s #SillyPangram a bit of a spoiler, so move on if you haven’t done the #NYTSpellingBee yet!

We’ve got MANAGLED, adj., of something badly bungled by management.

“The managled layoff process at the nonprofit earned management what they most dreaded: a unionized staff.”

So disappointed by “Jay Kelly”: strong cast deserved more than lackluster writing & ham-fisted melodrama. For a way better treatment of aging film celebrity trying to reconnect with daughters he neglected, go see Norway’s“Sentimental Value.”

Thinking about the awesome basketball on display on last night’s #NBACup final, and how well people do when they leave the Kings. Really happy for Mike Brown landing with the winning Knicks, and for DeAaron Fox & Harrison Barnes getting to these finals with the Spurs. But it also made me kinda sad

Today’s #SillyPangram: PLATITUDAL, adj., characteristic of platitudes, as in “Americans have had enough of the platitudal calls for ‘thoughts & prayers.’”

Met one of the artists featured here during the most recent First Friday open house at Warehouse Artists Loft on R Street in Midtown Sacramento. Such a cool space. Wish there was more like this in our town.

I know there are many requests for help of this kind these days & it's hard to know how to sift through the pleas. I don't know this family personally, but a dear & trusted personal friend does, which is how I learned of Luis's plight. Please help if you can.

I had no idea about this man’s storied journalistic career. Back in the 90s I read his book The Mapmakers, which remains one of my favorite nonfiction reads.

I love riding the bus. Love watching the neighborhoods change out the window. Love hearing the drivers’ interactions with people. Love the clamor of the vehicle as it lumbers along. Love how rarely it’s crowded, although I wish more people used public transit here. #SacRT

This is so charming, but also, Mai is badass & we need her energy in Congress representing Sacramento, not billionaire interests. #MaiVangforCongress
All I want for Christmas this year is to beat the billionaires who have rigged our economy and made everything around us so unaffordable.

To make our holiday wishes come true, I’m teaming up with organizations that have endorsed us to host a mixer this Sunday, Dec. 14th at Urban Roots at 6pm.
