It can be really hard to persist and continue to work as a scientist or engineer when disinformation is the norm. Celebrated in fact. Shaking the feeling of a dystopian future is proving to be very hard.

A great discussion here with @chrismurphyct.bsky.social. The democrats need to rebuild and quickly adopt an economic message with 50 state strategy on the offensive. The policied are already there, they need to fix the narrative. We cannot afford a distopian future.

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.

I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc
