Since 2000, multiple local grocery stores have closed and moved location in the Southeast International sector of the city. The #FoodDesert leaves a thousand residents (at least) w/o walkable access to healthy groceries.

School is a great place to be, until it isn't.
Students fear school for its lack of safety from bullying, its lack of learning resources that would help them navigate and succeed, or its emphasis on the students who succeed easily and the invisibility of those who do not.

Same rhetoric; different era.
In the 1960s-70s in West Texas, I often heard "Give ___ a fur coat, they'll think they own the world."

The wealthy and powerful class, whether in small town America or its largest cities, have always implied they're 'giving' things to us and we should be grateful.

At the very least, their relationship is sick. But Republicans have engaged in many sick relationships since deciding it was in their best interests to embrace the Southern Democrats, the white Christian male supremacy that came w them, and Christian Nationalism.

Republicans will abandon him first.
