In this time of generational terribleness, I will be a long scratch, one of millions of us, made persistently in the hardest rock as part of a powerful glacier. I will speak science, without reservation or equivocation. I will act to counteract.

Exploring Kionywarihwaen, its Wendat place name (aka Crawford Lake) in Ontario. A rare meromictic lake whose deep water and upper water do not mix, so sediments at the bottom perfectly record time, with much data, and for 1000 years. Famous as having recorded the start of the Anthropocene era.
