I haven't checked out the latest update at all so idk what's in it exactly, but I've heard that a lot of things have been added. I only know for sure that there's a new career scenario that introduces new mechanics or something

Wow, sounds like it's a solo dev working on this according to the FAQ. Hopefully the project makes it completion since it looks sick

Yeah, it's just kind of a "Congrats, you did it!" which I suppose is similar to how old school beat 'em ups are, but it does feel anticlimactic for a roguelike. The devs did say that they plan on releasing more content/patches though, so maybe in the future more replayability will be added

I shouldn't say that there's a "lack" of meta progression, but rather you naturally unlock every upgrade just by putting time into the game, and once you do that then that's it

So I had rituals that let me spawn skeletons that would drop bones whenever they got hit. This room had several waves of enemies, so I made a bunch of skeletons and at the end had a lot of bones. On top of that, I had the ritual that let me dash over throwables and turn them into those homing darts

I only played a bit of online in the demo and not in the full game, so idk what the current experience is like. I'm hoping they kinda rebalanced things when you have a partner though since the co-op experience was a bit too easy before

Yeah, in the demo of the game that was actually the strat, but it got nerfed in the full game via the repetitive mechanic and now I think it's not really worth it

Cider can also do a bicycle kick in the air by inputting up and light attack. This will send the enemy outwards, but it can't really be followed up unless the enemy hits the wall. It's still potentially useful though if you'd rather stay up in the air to combo rather than spike the enemy downwards

On Cider you can hold heavy attack to pull enemies towards you instead of jumping to them, which can be useful for air combos. Cider's grab is unique in that it can be done by jumping onto enemies, and you can pummel enemies by pressing attack without any directional input before slamming them.

I like Cider the most, but atm I've only won with Galandra. For Karl, I know he can walk around and jump while holding an enemy, which lets him dunk them downwards. Brome can hold jump to float in the air, but I haven't found a good application for it yet outside of just moving around
