I played the demo for Absolum and it's looking like a definite buy from me. It's a roguelike beat em up that rewards smart offense, like in this clip where I utilize (see: abuse) the lengthy active frames of my skills to clash with the boss's attacks and prevent him from ever hitting me

What Kitasan Black brings is consistency. At max level she has a huge amount of specialty priority, which means she'll show up for speed training type more frequently. Her events also give mood up or even the Practice Perfect skill, which decreases your chances of failing trainings

If you don't care about using your horsegirls for PvP or legend races then you can disregard this, but the stat benchmarks outside of career mode are brutal because you essentially need 400 more in everything due to career mode giving you a hidden buff.

Once I get this skill, Maelle will probably get Cheater since it means a virtuose sword ballet every time she gets a turn regardless of how much she parries

Minor Expedition 33 spoilers, but I went back to fight the first optional "HEY YOU WILL DIE IF YOU FIGHT THIS GUY RIGHT NOW" boss and won. The messed up part is that now I have so many ideas of how to do it more efficiently and kinda want to do it again

Minor Expedition 33 spoilers, but I went back to fight the first optional "HEY YOU WILL DIE IF YOU FIGHT THIS GUY RIGHT NOW" boss and won. The messed up part is that now I have so many ideas of how to do it more efficiently and kinda want to do it again
So far I'm loving Expedition 33's hard difficulty. Enemies aren't damage sponges and successful defense actions feel so rewarding when there's more on the line. Like, this enemy/mini boss could one-shot my party members, but I told myself to lock in and I parried all of its attacks to win
