i love this kind of thing though tbh

my favorite kind of sci fi is the pulpy "we don't really know how this thing works but it sounds cool and helps advance the plot" kind of writing you get from really old stuff

wasn't super into this one unfortunately, really lacked any unique or interesting things (outside of a very good performance by "Jaime") that would make this film engaging or stand out.
the last 3rd was a step up, but its already "too little too late" for me

didn't love this one as much as i would have liked, but i still appreciate it. good performances, decent music, and alright as a story.
directing was good but also at points failed to keep my attention
