Speaker Johnson has dismissed the expiring ACA subsidies as a “Dec. 31 issue,” and for 10 months he’s refused to act, despite Democrats demanding that he protect Americans’ coverage.

Yesterday I joined the MTA in announcing the completion of the upgraded Grand Central–42nd St station.

New elevators, wider passageways, and improved circulation will deliver the kind of modern, inclusive transit system our city deserves.

On Friday I toured the Vanderbilt YMCA located in the heart of NY-12 to learn more about their community programming and initiatives.

The highlight of my visit, though, was reading “The Gruffalo” to the Pre-K class!

Good. Now do Kingsley Wilson, Ed Martin, Sebastian Gorka, and Darren Beattie.

New Yorkers at the No Kings march in Times Square today said loud and clear: this nation has no kings. The President answers to the Constitution and the American people, not the other way around.

Honored to attend @mta.info’s unveiling of the new 79th St subway tribute to Saul Zabar, a New York tribute fitting for a New York legend, just steps from his iconic store.

May his memory be a blessing, and this display a reminder of a true Upper West Sider.

It was an honor to celebrate the Nobel Laureates whose names will be inscribed on the Nobel Monument in Theodore Roosevelt Park.

May all who visit the monument reflect on these laureates' profound impact on society and the world.

I could not in good conscience vote for the GOP Continuing Resolution, which leave tens of millions of Americans facing higher costs and lost coverage.

Democrats put forward a plan to extend ACA tax credits and repeal Medicaid cuts.

Republicans refused to even negotiate.

For New Yorkers, 9/11 is a tragedy we carry in our hearts every single day. On the 24th anniversary we feel it deeply.

We will never forgot the horrors of 9/11 and today especially we remember the heroes.

It’s back to school season and Americans across the country are paying more for school supplies thanks to Trump’s tariffs and the Big Ugly Law.

Trump and Republicans are so focused on giving tax breaks to their ultra-wealthy friends, they're increasing costs for families sending kids to school.

I visited The Bristal Senior Residence at York Ave this afternoon to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Social Security and talk to New Yorkers who are worried about its future. We must keep working to protect Social Security from the Republicans who are trying to gut this earned benefit.

I joined Social Security Workers United to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Social Security and to call for full staffing of SSA. The Trump Administration is firing workers, closing offices, and threatening the benefits that millions of seniors rely on.

Today I hosted a round table with @protectourcare.org, @legalaidnyc.bsky.social, and Mount Sinai Health System to discuss the GOP’s Big Ugly Law that rips away healthcare for millions of Americans and funds tax breaks for billionaires.

I will continue fighting to repeal it and protect Americans.

I also got to stop by VA NY Harbor who was outside providing essential resources and services.

This morning I visited Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen and saw firsthand the work they are doing to provide nutritious food every weekday to anyone who needs it.

I will always make sure no New Yorker ever goes hungry and I am glad to work alongside Holy Apostles to do that.

It was great to meet with @NYCommonPantry’s Executive Director Stephen Grimaldi and Deputy Director Judy Secon today. We discussed food insecurity, the rising cost of groceries thanks to Trump’s tariffs, and the important work they are doing.

Today, as we mark National Health Center week, I joined @ryanhealthnyc.bsky.social for their Health & Resource fair and met with staff, doctors, and nurses at @forfamilyhealth.bsky.social.

On this #JewishDayofAction I met with @ncjw.bsky.social NY. I am proud they are standing with me as we fight against the Big Ugly Law that will kick millions of people off their health insurance, shut down hospitals across the country, and raise costs for Americans.

Please join me, @bradhoylmansigal.bsky.social, @lindabrosenthal.bsky.social, and @micahlasher.bsky.social for a Know Your Rights workshop with @nyclu.org at B'nai Jeshurun on Thursday at 6:30pm.

It is essential we know how to protect our neighbors when ICE is in our community.

ICYMI: @RepRaskin and I sent a letter on Friday demanding @AGPamBondi provide information about HPE’s acquisition of Juniper, based on reporting that suggests the Trump Administration overrode their own Antitrust Division officials who opposed the deal.

It was great to meet with the NYPD PSA 4 new Commanding Officer Captain Kevon Sample and Captain Meiyue Gong to talk about community policing in public housing.

It is wonderful working with them to keep our community safe.

On the 60th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid, I’m thinking of the millions of Americans whose health care is being taken away because Republicans wanted tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.
