This seems an excellent day to post a pic of the burning Reichstag in Berlin. Hitler blamed the 1933 fire on communists and used it as a pretext to suspend civil liberties and to allow the Nazis to peruse "ruthless confrontation" with German citizens.

The Constitution disagrees. The Emoluments Clause, part of Article I, Section 9, Clause 8, bans office holders from taking ANY gifts from foreign countries. There is no mention of quid pro quo. That is because the Founding Fathers knew that even the *appearance* of corruption promotes corruption.

Golf carts are used by disabled veterans or elderly veterans who have trouble walking at VA hospitals. They are unavailable right now because of sending cuts. But you know who has plenty of golf carts to use just because he's lazy? The hateful, irresponsible clown behind those cuts.
