imagine an enzyme which can “reverse translate” a protein into RNA, which can be reverse transcribed into the more stable DNA.

then sequence the resulting DNA. convert the codons into peptide sequences.

and there you have it: a high-throughput protein sequencing platform that puts LC/MS to shame.
