I figured that was why he started talking about sending everybody money, hoping to end run the “yeah you have to refund these tariffs now” possibility.

THIS. I went to a fundamentalist Baptist college. This paper would’ve failed in a Bible course at that so-conservative-men-and-women-have-separate-stairwells college. It’s not remotely up to any academic standards.

My sister and her family moved to New England (my s-i-l is trans and Louisiana no longer felt safe), and whenever I think about making long-term plans to join them, the absolute lack of diversity creeps me out. 😬

Congressional Republicans have completely abdicated their Constitutional responsibilities. It’s freaking infuriating.

I’m pretty sure a couple of the headlines on the “news” page of the site are.

As someone who went to a fundamentalist college, this wouldn’t even fly there. I’m completely unsure what this paper was even supposed to address, and the sole “source” for support isn’t even properly cited. Even in my Bible courses, this would’ve gotten a poor grade.

Also, Google absolutely did not have to tie the tabs to their asinine AI. 😠

All I can figure is that combined with the loss of tabs, a bunch of emails were just hiding out in the categories not sorted into the tabs. I had like 2,000 emailed from 2014 in mine 🤔

That whole thing is still wild to me. And I think about it when I read comments on Nextdoor from people just raring to shoot some random person who knocks on their door. They talk about people who walk down the sidewalk or knock of doors like they’re criminals waiting to crime. It’s horrifying.

Also “they’re like hobbits”? That’s the rudest complinsult I’ve heard in a while.

Party of “states’ rights” and all, I see.

They got a whole “poverty indicates some kind of moral failing” ideology they inherited from the Puritans and tweaked, coupled with an absolute idolatry of work as The Solution to all social and financial ills. It’s pretty gross.
