Meeting other game devs is like being teleported to an alternate reality bc ull be like oh im inspired by garegga and then u see a fucker who's like "elden ring made me see video games as art" like really bro THATS your favorite game. People are unable to form opinions.

Can you post some more of your epic models? Seeing your previous posts of it like a year ago inspired me to start collecting them

One can look at a field and can complain about how empty it is. Another will look and see the opportunity in what they turn that land into.

Theres so much more to get into but im tired so I'll stop. I think tomorrow I'll compile my thoughts better as well as write down how match that aesthetic. I also believe it can be applied to models that come out today. Just need to write more. Goodnight for now. 7/7

Key takeaways mainly is to maintain high saturation, as well has have appropriate level highlights on the models. Less near white but actually choosing a brighter yet still saturated color thats not too far off. Mostly though I've written myself into a hole for the most part 6/7

I think today we are grounded to much into what color each part is supposed to be. Black for the black carapace, red for the shoulder trim, so on and so on. However you will see power cables be bright red over dull black, while still appearing as a coherent army. 5/?

Its more than just bright colors thats for sure. Even poppy colorful models painted today dont invoke that feeling. I believe it is also a mix of technique as well and a confinement to the sort of wargaming mindset rather than the setpiece model mindset of today you see so often. 4/?
