Eight years ago, Little and I disdained the inauguration and spent the day at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildlife Center. This morning we just went to the store and breakfast. At our coffee shop, we saw a guy at the outdoor tables clearly bundling up for sleeping rough. It’s cold here, 27 or so. (more)

So over in the metaverse I was following the official accounts for President and First Lady Biden. Lo and behold, this hour I start getting notifications from the new occupants of those roles. AS IF, all up in my feed. Either a gross assumption as someone flipped the switch, or mass trolling.

My sixth-grade theatre kid and I waited outside our middle school until 4:37 today for my eighth-grade academic competition kid to finish a practice. We may have cranked the Wicked soundtrack and (since we were parked) I may have okayed some defying of gravity through the sunroof.

At the end of a long errand run this afternoon, I came out of the grocery store to find a gorgeous sunset sky. It changed every second of a wonderfully long red light. And I realized while sitting there that I had the perfect song playing. #therightamountgoingonatthemoment
