It always comes down to racism in the US! And until the people accept & deal with that fact and our history, the country will to a large extend stay stuck in the cycles of small steps of progress followed by huge backlash filled with hate and anti-Black policies - costing us all no matter our race.

I did my job. And then I did a job that never should have been my responsibility afterwards, sending emails and having meetings about how this was allowed to happen in the first place. Other women scholars had to spend their time explaining to Aspen leadership why this was not ok.
