This move is just transferring a tax from the developer to the taxpayers. If development charges are cut and then reimbursed only 50%, the taxpayers in each community would now be funding the other 50% through property tax increases. That's not a wise move.

I agree. I think she drove the American negotiating team nuts because they couldn't bully her, and she got us the best deal that was possible in the USMCA. That's why Trump didn't want her back when they renegotiate it again. This is a big loss to have her out of the cabinet.

It's definitely political and a missed opportunity for more business for them. In fact, they will lose business because nobody is going to pay and then try and get reimbursed from the feds. My family just went out last night to a restaurant and, in Ontario, we saved 13% on our bill. Much better.
