What if we did watch videos, but used adblock. And also only demonitized videos. And also didn't donate to streamers through youtube. And didn't watch sponsored content. Wouldn't that run them out of a bit more money than not using youtube? Overload their servers without pay instead of avoid them?

chiming in to say the clippy movement isn't *necessarily* abt the youtube boycott! it's moreso about anti-corp activism in general, and this boycott merely (and surely) falls within the motive. just wanted to say something as people are putting them directly together

boycotting youtube for one day, or even a few days, is not going to work!!! i personally am ceasing any use of youtube for *as long as it takes for them to retract this policy*, and you should too! focus on supporting your favorite creators in ways that don't involve this platform
