Kirkland Library day. I wanted to go somewhere new, but Kirkland had the book I wanted. Until I saw it was too advanced and also damaged to take home.
Got some great scene writing prep done tho! ✅ #amwriting 📚🪐

Yes! Under the three line menu on mobile, left side on a puter. They are like a Bluesky-wide filter that shows all posts that meet a certain criteria: hashtags, combination of emojis, etc. Programmy ppl set them up, and public ones you can join. For example: bsky.app/profile/amwe...

Exploratory library writing session #4: Woodinville
A bit of a Tardis library—much bigger than I thought it would be. A nice cluster of excellent work tables, a charming glass nook, and a statue of a horse. What’s not to like? 7/10.

Snowed in for the 3rd morning in a row. It’s been mostly melting over the course of the day then snowing overnight. Wishing our driveway ran out to the cleared street in back…

This is the LiveJournal blog I started while attempting to revise my first novel. I never found an ending for that novel. I have an ending for the one I'm working on now--and am learning a process, and have support. Hopefully this time--19 years and 50 false starts later--I will finish!🤞

Exploratory library writing session #3: Carnation
Very small yet well-used library with super friendly staff. Chairs were comfy, but only 2.5 tables to work at (though one had rechargeable wheelchair access!). Also awesome native art. 7/10

Exploratory library writing session #2: Kirkland. This one was a treat! Plenty of parking, and a huge wide open work space full of tables and comfy chairs surrounded by windows. 8/10

Sneaky WeWork session in Seattle to make both my mentorship call and my hair appointment. Hair is great; story is on-track; WeWork staff was great, but I had no idea from the meeting room pic that I’d be working in a fishbowl and on display. 6/10.

Exploratory library writing session #1: Duvall. Started working during story time for toddlers, which was actually charming. Chairs were not comfortable, only a couple tables to work at. But the reading owl tree ruled, as did all the pride flags. 6/10.

This is not my new car. But it is my husband’s new car. Which makes us a two-car household again. It’s been nearly 5 years.
Starting tomorrow I can leave the house at will during the weekdays!
Let the adventure begin….
