NVDA is trading at a multi-year low P/E of 25. It is a cyclical stock. Earnings declined 35% in 2019 and 32% from 7/22-7/23. It is trading like a commodity stock, predicting an earnings peak in year or 2. Sell these at low P/E's and buy them at high P/E's. Still holding, but beware.

Productivity growth is not a panacea. Productivity grew at an annual rate of 3.2% from 2000-04, higher than the 3.0% rate from 1995-99, but S&P 500 real annualized returns averaged -5%. Aggregate hours worked declined 0.6% per year and GDP growth slowed to a 2.7% annual rate vs. 4.3% from 1995-99.

To clarify I do not now have a sell on the stock market but have strong conviction that the secular bull market will end within 2 years.

As we just teased on the air, the identity of the #MysteryBroker will be revealed tomorrow when he joins me on CNBC's Closing Bell at 3pm Eastern. He'll be offering a fairly provocative market outlook as well.

Here's some background on this source, whom I've quoted since 2009.
